HipHop's Heavy BASS

Post by skyworm » Fri Sep 01, 2006 1:53 pm

I've been able to meet every audio challenge I've wanted to create in LIVE5.

last but not least.....

I just can't make the right formula in Operator to make that PHAT LOW END BASS.

How+do experts please...

not sure about hip hop specifically & i'm not an expert but...

Something i do is put a highpass filter with lots of resonance after the instrument & sweep the cutoff upto the lowest note of the bass then compress.

or

double up the bass with the same sound a octave higher or lower , depending if the bass is sub or bass.

you mean low pass/high cut right?
It was as if someone shook up a 6 foot can of blood soda and suddenly popped the top.

No i definitely mean Highpass.

Try it.

Just apply the highpass at default settings increase resonanse then sweep the cutoff up from 26hz & you will see what im getting at.
It's just amplification i guess but tuned.
