I have recently replaced my UC33 with the lovely Behringer BCR2000.
Really happy with the Behringer controller, lovin the buttons on it compared to the 'ZX Spectrum' like on the 33!
On the Behringer I have assigned the bottom 3 rows of knobs to each of my 3 sends - on the uc33 i could just turn the knob round once to apply 100% but on the behringer i need to turn the knobs round at least twice to apply 100%???
Anyone got any ideas how i can change this please?

With practice you can grasp the knob in such a way that you can sweep it from 0-127 and back again without letting go of it.
I'm just analyzing my own technique... To go from 0 to 127 using my right hand I grip the knob between the tip of my thumb nail and the pad of my middle finger, then roll the knob clockwise changing over from middle to index finger half way. You end up griping the knob between the bottom part of your thumb and the side of your index finger.

There was a post up about this issue. Somebody said they had found a solution by doing some sort of "reprogramming" of the BCR2000. I think it would come up in a search. I'll try to find it, been meaning to try it out.

If you're not concerned so much about super-high accuracy, could you not just set the knob range to a smaller one (ie 0-64) then map the midi range in ableton accordingly? It sure "moves" a hell of a lot quicker that way.

This has been addressed before, there's a "resolution" parameter you can change. I did it myself, and now it's cool.
You have to dump your preset using midiOX or similar app into a sysex file (NOT BCEDIT). Then edit it with an hexadecimal editor. find resolution 96 96 96 96 for the encoder you want to change, and modify the 96 96 96 96 values (i can't recall the exact values, there are some posts here that go in detail). Then upload the preset to the unit with midiOX (NOT BCEDIT). Check that no ERROR message appears while doing this. You may have to try several times, even unplug/replug the unit and try again. Finally, store the preset. You can do this in the unit itself or via another sysex message.
If you need more info, PM. I did this very same process last week.
By the way, i strongly encourage you to install the Mackie Control Emulation preset on your unit. SOOOOO nice!!! Will change the way you look at your BCR.

This is correct, my volume knobs are set to range 0-108, which aproximates how a pot would behave. doesnt really seem to make any difference
i am using modified MCE for BR2000, i want to use the v-pot 3 to control the filter, its too slow using the knobs have to turn about 4 times to completely filter
if i assign a standard rotary cc on midi map on the knobs are much faster

FYI I did this, I simply did a search in the text for "resolution" and found all the encoders. Do this and try them one at a time, shouldn't take too long to do.
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.

i sorted it now
the reason i had problems is because i had created a snapshot of my sysexe on birdie editor and not midiox
i saved a new sysex in midiox opened up using free hex editor and the resolutions were there to edit, searched and midified the resolutions and all is good now
p.s (not had time to try this yet, but) can i edit the values to anything i like ? or do they need to follow a set pattern ?
