My new EP is released! All done in good 'ol Live

Post by timothyallan » Thu Sep 07, 2006 12:15 pm

You unlucky bastards who have me on MSN are already aware of this :)

I thought I'd post a short message to announce the release of my lovely new EP yesterday through Segment Digital in the UK.

It's got three tracks, all of which are 100% done in Live. I used Impulse for all drums, and Operator for a ton of the FX and noises.

Cookin - A progressive stormer a la D-Nox
The Fog - A chillout breaks track a la someone I'm sure
Deluxe - A melodic proggy tune a la old Sasha&Diggers

You can preview and grab the tunes via DJDownload.com and Audiojelly.

The first 20 people to buy it get a set of free ginsu steak knives!!*

Cheers,
Tim

Most of the synths are done in Operator, Simpler, Hydra or a combination of.

Good sounding tracks Timothy. What do you use for drum programming.

99% of the drums are done using impulse.

That 1% missing is because I think I cheated and used a bit of a shaker loop from a sample CD in one of the tracks. :D
