I never disrespect people for using PCs, I have always used macs. I get tired of people trying to force their opinion about mac VS PC.
You can state your case about PC's strong points without disrespecting other people's choices of hardware, if you have to disrespect people to make your point, (over priced fashion accessories for instance ), then in my opinion your point is worthless, and you're trolling.
I don't care if people using macs have been rude to you, or if somebody makes a comment that is rude etc. if you engage, and state their choice of computer as a reason for their behavior etc. then you're just looking for a battle. You wanted a war, period, or you would have laughed it off. Instead you tell us all to fuck off.....
LOFA, I have had plenty of friends that I realize are intense people that say rude and petty things sometimes, it's part of life. If you really can't see that your friend is being childish, then he must have had either some killer weed when you met him, or introduced you to your girl, something? :?

(DIRECTED AT THREAD AUTHOR)

Um.. go fuck yourself?

Really, I think ableton should hire me to "clean" up their forums.

It's all good. Nobody's perfect. This cat is pretty intense and it's quite possible that an internet forum doesn't flatter each individual in the same manner, but a bunch of us just caught a show and had a fun night. Him and his girlfriend are a pretty amazing couple. There are some hot-headed people on this thread so I'll keep it short, but I am always taken back by people who are just really good earnest people. This describes err to a T, and is fundamentally more important imo than his lack of ability to articulate an unpopular post without offending a handful of jaded, impulsive misanthropes.

It's always nice to have guests in my home. I have a feeling Err is not gonna be around these parts much any more. Neither am I. Technology and Live 6 have caught up with what I wanted and my last semester is pretty demanding. Now that all of the great links are catalogued I need only to look for Angstrom, Hoffman2k and Machinate's names.

There is some bad energy in these parts right now.

An edit instead of a bump:

Hyperstay: This was not intended as a generalization. My statement about misanthropes, etc was directed twoards a handful of people that that were acting negatively. I don't understand why someone would make the leap that I was generalizing. As it is only an handful of cats have spoken up in this thread. WHich is good. Frankly I am embarassed by this whole affair. It is an uphill battle trying to commincate that some as reactant as err originally had good intentions on this thread. It was foolish to get involved after specific picturres were unnecessarilly posted but I did.

I agree that this thread should have been moderated along time ago.

I feel that neither I nor the majority of the people I enjoy communicating with here fall under the umbrella of jaded, misanthropes, etc, but certainly a few do, and threads like this typically bring it out unfortunately.

Anyway, I'm sick. Got the whole weather changing sore-throat yellow phlegm garbage that this time of year is good for, and a handful of assignments, so please let this thread die.

Let's face it, making a new machine by scavenging parts from your old one and upgrading the parts that matter is a good way to save money.

DIYability, upgradability and the wide availability of parts are key considerations in choosing between PC and MAC.

They are not the only considerations of course but they are important for anyone on a tight budget.

Apart from that I feel boud to say that this is one of the most unpleasant threads I have ever encountered on this forum.

And now your explain your friend's behavior with an stereotyping insult to the rest of us?! Is that really called for? You know, I help run osxaudio/bigbluelounge, so I know a thing or two about moderation, and this thread would have gotten a different treatment over there. Not to mention, that irritating flashing sig would have been cut a long time ago.

Furthermore. It is possible to express an opinion about something without lashing out at your fellow community members for their computing choices.

This thread just makes it even more clear that these forums need an active mod or two, even if they only step in once and a while.

Why do these PC vs. Mac threads always get so out of hand? Can't we all just get along man?
But while we're on the topic of religion, I heard somewhere that the Church of Scientology strongly endorses Macs. 8O

The one did acid. The other thinks he's a super-galactic vessel or something like that...

It's not all about religion.....

Speaking of scientology. His other work "starship troopers" was much more funnier.
Battlefield earth just flatout sucked
I wonder what will happen in scientology 2.

Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
