Making an audio clip hold

Post by RonChi » Fri Sep 08, 2006 9:24 pm

I'm trying to make a piece of audio reach a certain point and then hold indefinitely (think Whitney Houston in the Bodyguard, "and IIIIIIIIIIII") but if she held that "I" for a second and stopped singing.

I tried putting reverb on the track and freezing at a certain point but that didn't really work like I planned it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

could you make a copy of or split the clip , loop the part at the end of the first clip then use follow actions to stop or change clips.

- warp the last section to play reaally slooow
- drop the bpm at the end of the sample and bounce that to audio.
- layer multiple versions of it, like a manual delay/echo, maybe put it into Simpler and stretch it out.

maybe post the sample and let the freaks go to town on it?
