native mode/automap/mackie emulation....

Post by Matrigs » Sun Sep 10, 2006 8:05 pm

my god i'm getting more and more confused with all this.

i mean every single one of the protocols has other pros and cons and i really don't know which way to choose to improve my life-set.

i own a bcr 2000 and the only thing i could do with it in live 5 was to hook it up with mackie control emulation. quite great thing especially with that fake lcd but one thing that really sucks in this setup is that it doesn't show the GUI of third party instruments and you have to scroll with it through different parameters blindly.

native mode will be cool for the bcr as i will finally be able to control the things that are highlighted, but i won't have any lcd screen. and i'm not really sure how good that will work.

the novation sl series does both but i won't pay that much money for so much plastic really...

what do you use? what are your experiences with every protocol? discuss!!
