MIDI: How do I create and record Midi?

Post by alan300 » Thu Feb 12, 2004 11:30 pm

I need to record in Midi so that I can always fix notes and change sounds just like in Pro tools. I use the Apple M to activate MiDI but that's it... it does not show me the piano and the notes to later adjust.... How does it work ... If anybody can help me I appreciate...

Live doesn't sequence MIDI. The MIDI in Live is for controlling Live's soft faders with hardware faders, and sycing Live to other programs, eg with MIDI clock. You need to run Live via rewire, with a program that does sequence MIDI. It may rewire with ProTools, but I've never tried this. I rewire Live with Logic or Reason.
