a new eq
what is a true dj eq?
well, one that imitates an external dj mixer as best as possible, with effective slopes etc.
if u get a chance to try traktor, ul see what i mean.
for house mixing. good eqs are really important 4 me.
ps.will try eq8
pps eq4, again, is impossible to set up like a dj mixer. ive found. eg doesnt cut enough.

I've been using eq3 as a "dj style eq". I've got the three knobs on eq3 mapped out to knobs on my midi controller.
I've seen in a couple of places now on this forum that eq3 colors the sound in a bad way...
I've also heard that some people are using eq4 and disabling one of the 4 points in order to make a better "eq3"...
What's a good solution that a lot of people seem to do for this sort of thing? Should I be using eq4 w/ one point disabled rather than eq3? If so, what frequency should I set each of the 3 points to in order to get the most "dj styled" bass, mid and high range frequencies?
New to Live and intrigued by all this. Looking forward to the responses.
