1. Yes. Admin, please give us a DJ Specific forum so I can find out about Live DJing without wading through other non-DJing threads.

DJ-Specific forum for Advice/DJ Set Posts...?

Post by kabuki » Sun Feb 15, 2004 5:30 pm

More and more Live users are using live for DJ specific purposes. What do you think about a Forum being set up for DJ specific issues and links to DJ Sets?

Please leave a comment so this thread bumps to the top. (one more reason why we need a DJ Forum...

Certainly would be useful to have one forum for production and another for DJ.

I don't own live 3.0, yet, but I plan on buying it w/in the month and using it for djing, so yes, make the new forum.

DJ Forum? ...of course

Post by signifier » Tue Feb 17, 2004 6:02 pm

Live is without a doubt the most interesting tool for those of us who have always seen DJing/collage as a radical part of serious music composition, and not simply "entertainment".

A DJ forum is an excellent idea...as long as it doesn't descend into genre wars!

The Live for DJs thread shows how interesting and informative can a DJ forum be. There seems to be lots of different ways to use Live for DJing and the people that participate in that thread show an informative and helpful attitude.

So, yes - a DJ forum would be a great addition to this place, I just hope all this posts are read by the Admin..

submitted my vote fof yes. A DJ specific forum would be fantastic, as Live. my laptop, and my controller have become a permanent staple in my dj set up (both for home mixing and for djing out). Very cool idea to make a seperate forum section. I also do a mix every few weeks so I can easily post them when they are done. It would be cool to share our sets with each other....and also a cool way to get turned on to other artists we may never heard of. Im in.....
