Samples in RAM

Will RAM based samples on a PC ever be implemented ?

Is there a desire for this ?

I know why samples are disk based but a option to switch beteen the two would be great.

I sure wish it was ram-based, and I know people who would buy it if it was ram-based instead of disk.

I posted about using a ramdisk in XP before I noticed this thread. Have you tried this?
