Arpreggio or Scale Plug in first or last?

Post by xpl2003 » Mon Sep 18, 2006 5:18 pm

Hi All

Which is the proper way to route the arp and scale plug ins so that the correct output is within the scale plug in that i chose i.e C Major.

I have heard some people put the scale plug in before and after the arpreggio plug in.

i.e if i put the arp first then the scale plug in last, this would result in anything coming from the arp in C Major? But if i put the scale plug in first then the arp will then transmit notes out of the scale utility.

I think you answered your own question

Scale at the end if you're using it for what it is intended...

if you want to lock it into a key, scale goes last. of course, you don't have to follow the rule book if you don't want to...
you can set the arp to transpose to simple major or minor keys which can let you do without the scale plug in a way.
