the ascent - minimaly progressive sounding tune

Post by jeskola » Tue Sep 19, 2006 8:47 am

Is 4/4 progressive, gets quite banging i guess :P

Just got Isotope Ozone too, so would be interesting to hear your thoughts on the engineering/production side of things too.

IMHO is the kick to loud/present in Ascent. I find Incriminating Evidence better, sort of Tony Thomas style....

Medium price HiFi speakers also will do the job, as long as you know how they sound. But that also goes for 'real' monitors :)

Its funny you should mention tony thomas cos he monitors on hi-fi speakers : )

So save yourself some cash....

I think you can make a track on headphones though, but its nice to hear the music loud to get into it more...

Haha. Quite a few producers use or did use HiFi speakers for monitoring. Better as cheap-ass 'Studio Monitors'.....

Agreed, but with a big second on:

as long as you know how they sound.

wasnt too hapy with the original version, so heres a beefed up remix i did, basically started again and added a rake of new noises, and cleaned up the produciton.
