Create "Group" from track selection
Really a grouped track should act exectly like a normal track, pan, sends, solo etc.forge wrote:I was going to post a wish again last night for at the very least the ability to solo grouped tracks - so you can route a number of tracks to one trck then solo the bussed one and hear all of them
I really want to be able to bus tracks but this one thing makes it practically unusable
If I had this ability I would use Live more, I usually start a project in live and currently after hitting more than around 20 tracks or so In live I move over to Cubase basically because I cannot organise my tracks in live.

Hmm.. interesting idea about separate outputs, but each track has it's on pre-group bus. So you can do any individual track effects there.
But perhaps, once the group is already formed, if you wanted to, you could change a grouped track's output from the group channel back to master without removing the track from the group (for group triggers and solos, etc.)

Begging and pleading
This is exactly the functionality I've been searching for in my current project (my first real one with Live). For a while I thought I was just missing it, that it was somehow hidden but still there.
Being able to mix down drums, for instance, maintaining the separate tracks for each instrument while grouping them under one "drums" group track and collapsing them out of view--oh, it would be heaven and make life so very much easier.
