Well, how do you think the two compare and which is better in your opinion.
Here is some of the new specs of Sonar 6 which look and sound great... vintage channel, convolution reverb, etc etc ... take a look...

Can you guys tell me which is better in your opinion from the two DAWs, but before that break it down like this...
1. Live 6 + Essential Music Instruments + Sampler vs Sonar 6
2. Live 6 without Essential Music Instruments and without Sampler vs Sonar 6
I really like that vintage channel and convolution reverb with Sonar... let me know what you guys think!!
Live 6 vs Sonar 6
Sonar's awesome, but it really depends on what you're trying to accomplish. They're too different beasts, although the gaps narrow with every new release.
I'd say the big difference is the Session view. Sonar has nothing like this. Conversely, while Live has plenty of trad-daw features, Sonar is more purposefully built for that. It's two different paradigms.
I wouldn't be too taken in by things like VST's, you can get whatever you want in that regard on your own. Yeah Vintage Channel looks nice, but it's just the Kjaerhus GAC-1 re-skinned: http://www.kjaerhusaudio.com/gac-1.php
And convolution reverbs are a dime a dozen. I still have yet to even use Perfect Space, actually!
