Can Anyone Help? Effect Question

Post by LRG » Fri Sep 22, 2006 11:54 am

I was wondering if there was a way in live to route like a reverb for instance to a track that would alow me to only control the reverb and not the sound itself. I was reading "The Art Of Mixing" and in it there is a section on Effects it is mainly talking about panning and moving reverb up or down in the mix using eq or moving left or right using panning. How could I route the reverb to a track that would allow me to eq or pan just the reverb to have better control over it in the mix. Hope that makes sence would appriciate any help. :?

You'd need to read up on Live's routing.

You would (probably) want to set up a send track with a reverb on, set to 100% Wet. Your audio track would feed the send track (ie - Send A on your audio track 1 fully open). Then, you'd send the audio track, and the send track to a newly created audio track (audio track 2). You could then use the volume slider on the veverb track to control JUST the reverb.

OR - you could just use the Send Knob on audio track 1...
