a serious error occurs when i use Guitar Rig with Live 5.2

i'm trying use Guitar Rig with Live 5.2 ...is there anybody that uses both GR and Live 5 because i seem to have problems...when i open it as a VST in
Live 5 then change a preset in GR it causes a serious error to occur and
Live 5 shuts down and my pc seems to suffer a seizure...i'm using an EMU
0404 soundcard and may need to tweak a setting somewhere...but i know little
of these matters and i was wondering if maybe anybody could help me to iron out
this annoying problem
