not broke - but I haven't spend this much money on music
in 10 years or so. I would never buy music that has DRM
so I really dig the electonic scene for doing online music
the right way (beatport, traxsource, juno, wordsandsound ect)
Beatport is a fantastic way to discover new music - my new
favorite producer is Marc Romboy - amazing stuff.
Also - when I find tracks that I have from "alternative"
sources I buy them and delete the "other" one.
Beatport is what online music should have been i 98

Do you have the latest flash installed? It won't work without it.jackmazzotti wrote:beatport hasn't worked for me ever since 3.0
In the past I spent some fair $$ on beatport. Haven't been purchasing music for a little while, so I haven't tried to download since the switch to 3.0.
Macbook c2d 2.0, 2G RAM, 160G HD 5400 RPM, OSX(10.5.5), XP Home, LIVE6, BCR 2000, UC33e, Yamaha P-200, Logic Studio, KRK V6 II
It'll be good when the mixes section is up and running. Can't wait for that.
Awright Bawjaws, that smells lovely son, gies a wee taste!

That new Novamute with the Phil Kieran and Abe duc remixs - Phil K did a exclusive beatport mix
Elton D
shit like that - so when I get home I can download 'em and mix in Torq

Beatport has some great stuff, but lately I've been hitting up a lot of little net labels. Getting quality jams for free.
It's cool man, great artists sharing great techno. It's a good way to discover new stuff. And when stuff really moves me I usually watch for them to pop up on Beatport or whatever and I'll snag their stufff from there as well.
My new routine is to download and preview on my desktop. If I dig it I transfer over to my laptop, build overviews in Serato and throw down. Totally digging it man.
Check out this thread over at mnml.ml - it's mostly minimal stuff, and I think you are into the higher bpm stuff Adonis, but you might dig some of it.

anybody know any other cool net labels giving red hot free stuff away in the deep house, tech and progressive end of things - and any good minimal and techno net labels?
