Heard that it is possible with Vysor or something like that, but I it is Beta version for past 2 years and I am not so sure it really works, Any other software to integrate Evolver into Live.?

on the DSI EVOLVER yahoo group its been asked which editor is best, the soundtower one or the vysor one.....there's quite a few individuals saying the vysor one is best.

the only people with anything bad to say about it are people who dont actually own it, but are put off by the fact its still a beta.

that being said...I'm going to pick up the soundtower editor first, as the vysor editor doesnt support intel mac yet.

besides...if you use soundtower to edit your patch, you should be able to easily see what CC controls whatever parameter you'd like to tweak - and do the rest in Live or whatever sequencer you are using.

I'll probably get the vysor one later, when its finished or at least supports intel mac...the sequencer section looks really smart.

Note that this is just an editor program. You still need an Evolver and the means to somehow record it's output.

(I guess most people were aware of that anyway, but VST nowadays usually means virtual instrument/effect.)

if you have the money for the monomachine, you should get it. then save 400 euro for a DSI evolver desktop model.

I wish I bought it long ago,it is matter of taste but for me Dave Smith hits it right,
Not just the analog but also digital osc are amazing. i liked his old designs. This one is a classic creation- Dave is for me in same league like Leo Fender, Les Paul,Linn or Bob Moog.
As much as I like the design of machnedrum I hate, actually HATE, cant stand its the sound it gives me pain in the ears and mind- but who knows maybe their other products are great I know people who loveMD exactly for this unbearable -for me-screatchy sound
Such stuff must be heared and tested personally. I dont believe in analog better then digital, G2 or TI sound way better then lots of expensive analog stuff, but it is my taste again.

the evolver is amazing:

analog step sequencer: blooperama
great sound (can get truly bizarre)
abiility to route all sorts of sh*t all over the place
ability to process external audio
small
cheap
amazing customer support (which i normally don't care that much about but in this case they've been so over the top solid that i have to mention it)

I'm sorry but is this vyson version a vsti or just an editor? I read the above posts whcih clearly states this thing is an ediotr only but went to their site and it appears this thing is a real deal VSTi...

I'm confused. Can someone verify either way please?
