1 Reason to have a trigger finger.

Do you guys need those pads?A simple midi keyboard can not do the same thing to make the beats?

Depends on how you prefer to do things - I started on a MPC so the action of triggering with Keys as oppose to pads is foreign - very strangeDJ VAKIS wrote:Do you guys need those pads?A simple midi keyboard can not do the same thing to make the beats?
I had a Trigger Finger but my boy needed keys to write patterns so I sold it
now I'm learning to actually perform the LIVE program and I want my pads back
I was in GC the other day, playing with the TRACK MUTE thing on the demo and I swear it was hella fun banging on the pads (mock performing)
it's just a preference
the AXIOM would be a good compromise - key's, pads, sliders knobs
peace

Why do you use your Oxygen8 instead of just inputting the notes? Do you really NEED that Oxygen 8?DJ VAKIS wrote:Do you guys need those pads?A simple midi keyboard can not do the same thing to make the beats?
Truth be told it is MUCH easier to use pads like those on the trigger finger than to use a keyboard.
Personally I use a SPD20 because as a drummer using sticks and pedals is the ONLY way for me to get my drum tracks done.
Since I'm a guitarist, not a keyboard player, I find it more comfortable to play percussion, trigger sample hits, or trigger the hold function on my guitar synth by whacking a pad than by playing a key. All those white keys look exactly the same to me. I never know which one to hit. The pad's easier for me for some reason. I don't get lost in its 4x4 grid.

are the triggerfinger pads any better than Korg padKontrol's?chewy wrote:The deliciously soft pads.DJ VAKIS wrote:Can some one say 1 reason to have a trigger finger?
