Let's make a list of hardware synths controllable via VST

Post by M. Bréqs » Fri Sep 29, 2006 6:47 pm

Hey all.

I'm just wondering if anybody can add to this... A list of hardware synths that can be controlled from within a VST host.

- Waldorf Pulse
- Access Virus A,B,C
- MFB Polylite
http://www.rekonaudio.com/

- Access Virus TI
http://www.access-music.de

- Dave Smith's Evolver
http://www.psicraft.com/

- Roland SH-201

Any others come to mind?

THe reKon controller for access virus looks VERY interesting. A must-buy when it comes out; assuming it will work for Virus Classic.

I love my virus sounds, but I hate the bloody menus. I think those buttons are going to give me RSI!

Midi Quest 10

I believe MIDI Quest 10 will be able to use any of their editor/librarians function as a VST. When it gets released though, and how well it's implemented, is another questions.

FYI, the Vyzor editor is a Midi Quest 9 engine with a fancy gui

Tarekith, we have good taste in instruments.... I see you on the Elektron, Evolver, and Virus forums :)

But I don't think that it can be used within a VST host like Ableton Live... It's just an editor.

...Get that scalpel out my friend.

It looks like the good people at Psicraft.com are planning to make a Vyzor editor for the Micron, Ion, some Roland synths and most importantly

The Alesis Andromeda A6!

Check this link, at the top of the right column on the "under development" list.
