Zoom with your mousewheel (and more) in Live 6

Post by ilia » Mon Oct 02, 2006 12:09 pm

I have updated the mousewheel script for Live 6.
You can use it to zoom in/out, scroll through tracks/plugins/browser files with your mousewheel. PC only (sorry folks).

Hi Ilia,
thanks for this script.
a problem :
nothing's happening when in session view, except when pressing shift > back to normal.
what skin do you use ?

In arrange you say press the middle mouse button. Do you have to do something to your mouse setup? I mean what function is your middle mouse button assigned to ?
For me it does nothing.

Do you think it's possible to use left and right wheel movement for mice that have that feature ?

AutoHotKey scripts work after you install the main application. You can get it at www.autohotkey.com

Once installed, you can run scripts. I put Ilia's Live script in my Startup folder so that it runs first thing. You can also just run the .exe, but I prefer to run the script which runs once the app is installed.

When my laptop boots, the script is always running (icon in the lower right) and then it works perfectly in Live 6. I honestly couldn't live without this script, and it has single-handedly sped up my edits in the arrange window to a point where I don't miss any other DAW app anymore.

did not try the script, but i thought the exe was something like a runtime-thing...?

I think you can just run the EXE, but installing the app isn't a big deal. Doesn't take up any measurable resources. The script itself runs with about 3mb of ram and no hit on the CPU.
