CPU spike with version 6 : even worse

This is a 2 minutes snap ...
each spike down to zero represent an audio glitch ....

even worse than version 5 ....

number of loops played : 3 !!!

The very same problem here. Audio glitches with only four clips playing.

In my computer, they start happening after a couple of minutes of use, like it's getting my Ram and eating it...

After that, even if I stick to only one clip, It will make glitches or pops.

I use (I didn't unninstall it) the same project in Live 5.2.2., and I can handle 9 clips (for djing) for as long as I can go on mixing, without ANY pop.

Before you guys ask, audio latency on Asio is on top.

As for producing, I can handle MULTIPLE tracks in ABL 5.
What If I can't stick to four???!!! in the sixth version.

I'm not worried, cause it seems to be a general problem here, so the patch/version may come soon, or at least, we know we have a problem to solve as fast as we can.

Please provide us with some more info about your hardware.

Also, please check these points

1) Check if all you Audio, MIDI, plug-in settings are the same like in L5

2) Check if you use same Live set like in L5

3) Disable Multi core/processor support (if you have a multi core/processor machine) to check if it makes a difference

4) Disable the file cache settings via Options (Win only)

Why would the Multi coreaudio effecte Live6, and not effecte Live5?

You can disable Multi coreaudio in the Prefence menue of Live in the audio tab right?

L6 has multi core support, L5 not, so Live 6 behaves different on that issue.

You can disable Multi coreaudio in the Prefence menue of Live in the audio tab right?

Yes, and you can do this on the fly.

Notebook Toshiba - P4 3.06 HT, 768 RAM, 533hz, 80Gb 5400 hd. Edirol PCR-1.

I'm gonna try the new setup with the options enabled, and post it back.

for the record, I could use 9 clips (just for djing), with BR, ping pong and all, and Redux auto filter and saturator @ Master, all on. Plus, I could swap, just for testing purposes, to 9 complex clips at once, with no effort.

As for producing, It worked for me as any sequencer. Drop the tracks, the instruments and go. Now, after a while, it "eats" my memory.

Alex: Disabling the file cache settings made me from a "frustrated-but-amazed-getting-into-the-real-pissed-off-state" into a "did-I-ever-use-ableton-5" user.

Already added three pluggin racks to the master channel without compromising much cpu and soundboard, and, don't think I will ever go back to 5.2.2

I'm a happy user of 6.0.1:D

And amazed with the Ableton Crew. You work so hard with such fast help.

Disabling the file cache settings is only for windows or can this be done in a Mac (I own a MacBook Pro). I have tryed everything you guys have told me so far... it still fails to work.
