HI
I think the midi editing in Live is still poor and needs updating.
I can imagine a simple way to do this would be to have a detachable piano-roll.
This would not have to be used and could be transparent to users - up until the point where a 'little' button' could be pressed and it simply gives you a resizable window that can be placed anywhere - even on a secopnd monitor.
The current situation is just 'hard work' if you spend a lot of time in the piano-roll.
Flipper.

This would be cool. I have always wanted better viewing of the piano roll and it's features.
3ghz Pentium 4 (Prescott), XP Sp2, 1gig Ram, Dual Monitor with Matrox Millenium, MOTU Traveler, Event EZ8 Adat card. Also IBM THinkpad t40 1.6 1 gig ram

HI
I hope people respond to this thread - after all this is how things change ... or not.
Even if you don't like the idea it is worth voicing an opinion.
90% of my tracks are generated by vsti's - so I spend a LOT of time editing midi data.

It's could be an interesting feature. Maybe from within the midi editor you could also jump to another midi track. Sort of like floops.

yes - I'm always resizing the midi pane, either enlarging it to edit notes or shrinking it to do other stuff

Yes. Live has horrible midi editing. This would definitely improve things
