Now that there are new features in Live 6, is there a way for me to make the individual pads on the impulse monophonic so if I throw a sample on a pad and hit it multiple times I don't get the tails of all.
I don't want to use 1 pad to cancel another pad (exclusive)
I don't want to turn down the decay so that it stops when I take my finger off
I don't want to program the length in the piano roll
I would like to avoid pre planning and using the simpler in the rack to seperate sounds
I do want to play it live with other samples and be able to choose on the fly which sounds I want in mono mode.
Can I make the Impulse pads monophonic
Can I make the Impulse pads monophonic

It sounds like the best way to do this is with a rack of Simplers. MUCH more controll over each sample and you should be able to drag and drop what you want, or you could just set up each and every sample you usually use and leave a few samplers empty for quick choices.

I always set my impulse kits to the Gate mode, so that the sounds only decay as long as I hold the key - much more in the spirit of electronic music, I think
That way the player has full control over which notes play when; if I want monophonic playback I simply play monophonically.
Anybody else doing this?

there no reason for this to not already be a feature of impulse. monophonic playback sooooo comes in handy for certain styes of music making. it could be implemented in a tiny button in the GUI.
i'd go one farther to say that we should be able to specify the polyphony of the entire impulse as well...if you also want this, please, say so in my wishlist thread:
