Pioneer DJM 500 delay / echo trick

i'm at work so this could be wrong but here goes..

set a simple delay too '2' (i think)

then automate the delay 0%-100% on every sixteenth beat for the length of the clip

i did 2 clips, one starting with the delay at 0% too delay or double up the kick and miss the off beat bass

the other starting at 100% to delay the bass, which i prefer because it cuts the kick.
