shortcut keys to brower and back to session?

Post by blakejarrell » Thu Oct 05, 2006 7:42 pm

is there a key shortcut (that i could then in turn use in bomes to make it keyless on my midi controller) that will bring me from a clip slot in session view to the browser select a file and then back to session view without touching the mouse etc?

if not, does anyone know of a scripting program that does, and how to do it?

thanks

alt & right arrow will select a browser slot, then up and down arrow keys to select up and down, return to choose, alt & left arrow to get back to session pane.

When I do this the file I select in the browser is brought into the session view and is placed on a newly created track in scene 1. Is there a way to choose which clip slot the file from the browser populates? Ideally I'd like the file to populate the clip slot that was last highlighted before using ALT+< to navigate to the browser.

Can this be done natively in Live?

there's a hotkeys script somewhere that does that...

Yeah - I've been looking into HotKeys. I was hoping Live could do it natively. Thanks for the link, though.
