simpler and impulse - loaded samples never sound like origin
when i load samples in simpler or impulse and play them with simpler/sampler they never sound like the original samples dropped.
is there any way/setting in simpler/impulse to make them sound like they real are ?

seems not so easy to make a sample sound like it really is...
in my opinion there should of course be a setting or preset of simpler/impulse which does make a sample really sound like the original.
if i choose a nice sample after hearing one after the other and then when i want to use it in impulse/simpler and it is not sounding like it was before than the prelistening and choosing work is not straightforward ;-(

Thanks for the Slicer Abe.

Remember that you might have WARPING in the browser on by default. This might make short samples sound different.
The second reason is the decay, Impulse has a max decay of 10 seconds. But it is set much lower by default.
So there is a reason why samples sound different. there is also a cure.
In Live's preferences, you have the option to set "one-shot sounds" to be unwarped in the browser.

just a small question, have you tried to reduce the volume of the prelistening device?deepfunktribal wrote:so there is no way to make a sample dropped to simpler/impulse and prelistened "not warped" to make it sound like it is ?
i tryed all settings (decay, envelopes & filters off, c3...) but no way...

Just turn the automatic warping off in prefrences when you audition to your samples.deepfunktribal wrote:so there is no way to make a sample dropped to simpler/impulse and prelistened "not warped" to make it sound like it is ?

There is no audible difference in sound quality. I have checked with a bunch of different types of samples. You guys are hearing the difference in volume, and for some, you have Automatic warping on.
There is no difference!
