ot/ psychedelic aquarium and scuba experiences
i had the privilege to go to the Monterey aquarium once
it was great!
what i didn't expect though was a room with translucent moon jellies filling walls on every side with a light show that was hard to describe other than subtlety shifting patterns that played with my mind in a very powerful way
what's even crazier though was playing scuba hide and seek with friendly harbor seals at point lobos, ca (its a scuba diver underwater state park)
i will never forget that for the rest of my life (including the next one)
the second coolest scuba diving experience was a night dive in a cove in the north shore of Massachusetts
little pink and orange squid would flash before us at blindingly fast speeds occasionally stopping revealing their completely alien forms
earlier (dusk) in the dive we saw strange, quickly moving brittle stars (a type of starfish) emerge from their daytime lairs
as amazing as lsd is
truth is far stranger than fiction
God is amazing
take the time to figure that out if you haven't already

Or nature is amazing for the rest of us non-believers
But yes i agree that nature has infinite craziness, whenever you think you have some kind of mental hold over it you will see something that makes you rethink everything. The sea really is a completely alien place, especially some of the deep sea areas that are only now being discovered.

the absolutely craziest thing ever was looking into the eyes of the this particularly cool harbor seal
i thought he or she would speak to me at any moment
it was a locking of the eyes that words can never really convey
really!
I'm not joking at all
there is much more than meets the eye of the dull and unobservant
there is another world that we rarely see and hardly ever pay attention to
yet we are surrounded by it every day

Just came back from the desert with the exact same thoughts....jackmazzotti wrote: God is amazing

people get short sighted in the city you have to go out to nature to get your prespective and clear your mind of rubbish....
people tend to forget that theres an amazing world out there and that they're a part of this big creation ....
you have to take your head out of the sand once in a while and look around you...
God / Jah / Allah (or whatever you call it... ) is one heck of a designer...
his amazing works are all around outside (and inside).... enjoy.
btw I'm not religious or anything...just feeling the spirit.
the artist formerly known as 3dot...
My wife and did a nighttime snorkling dive in Jamaica last year, full moon and clear skies that night too. It was definitely one of the coolest experiences of my life. Truly felt like I was in space surrounded by aliens. Seeing octopuses (octopi?) just gliding by completely changing colors every second, unreal.
