Registeredusers-only forum

Post by rasputin » Thu Mar 04, 2004 12:00 am

I haven't seen this suggested for a few weeks so let me throw it into
the hopper.

There are quite a few wankers, flamers and trolls on the General forum.
Usually I can spot them quickly and move on.

But Propellerheads has done this and it has really worked a treat for
the s/n ratio...

I couldn't agree more...
And just to refine this idea a bit
How about being able to upload/download clips, sessions, effects presets
for everyone to share/learn with.

you know you want to.

At least a separate section for registered users for sharing stuff.

that would be nice. it would be nice to not have to sift through troll posts and the like. at least that douchebag has stopped posting links to video game kracks.

true. potential future Livers could come and only have access to the Unregistered board, which would just be a bunch of other interested people with questions, and not getting any answers. probably be pretty disappointing. while we're all in the Registered Owners forum sunbathing by the pool and partying with the babes, or something.

I agree with all that is said here and I would like to see an ICON added by a registered LIVE users name in the forum header so we know who is a registered user and who is not; that way we can assist in helping out the newbies on an unregistered users forum WITHOUT mucking up the forum for us registered users!

i do agree with montreal breaks but grijak is having the good answer ! separating licensed users from others : cause we must help demo users to make'em buy this software if they like it ! don't you think it's ableton policy ?

I don't think you should have to be a registered user of Live to post here, but I do think that if you want to be a part of this community - either cos you're a user or thinking of becoming one - you should be forced to send in a registration and wait 24 hours for your account to be activated. This'd scare away most of the trolls.

But we could do the icons whatsit like the P-Heads done. I don't care, really.

I vote for being able to post and attach files. I've got some funky presets and it'd be nice to share/mix n match with others.

registered forum user for cunts like you

Post by anticuntlikeyou » Tue Mar 09, 2004 7:57 pm

i think you are the wanker spending your time as a user watcher with a selfish ego that tells you that you want to create an ableton forum tribe like that you won't feel alone & feel part of that privileged registered users only forum.
me ,i admire peoples like you that wants to creates law to satisfy their ego & feel powerfull, like that you woud be able to have the right to censor peoples like me with a free mind.
you could call your forum:"registered user only forum for peoples without freedom".

me i love that forum because it's open to everyone with no regard for their position on the user hierarchy or the name they use on that forum or if they wank when they read what peoples like you have written.

me i want to make sure that ableton spend more time working on the software development side rather than creating some stupid forum for peoples like you.

please someone, make this guy happy & leave him in his ignorance by creating a registered users only forum, like that he will miss what all the non registered users have to give him.

may the force stay with ableton ,keep being a good software developer.

Our point has been proved.

I quite like his name though, It'd make a good name for a punk band.
