Phoscyon or BassLine ?

Post by kineticUk » Fri Oct 06, 2006 8:21 pm

I wanna 303 - ish style instrument (Don't have cash for the real thing) and would love to hear peoples views.

Love the look of phoscyon..anyone using it?
What about AR Bassline?

Also what about BassLine Pro (Sounds good ... Looks absolutely shi*e, I think it should win an award for worst looking plugin ever and stupidest graphical fx..it puts me off straight away). But I would like to know how it compares to the normal BassLine.

What would you get? Help me out.
Cheers
d.

Bassline works on my Powerbook, bassline pro murdered it, it's not very CPU friendly.

If it's just pure 303 you're after you really can't go wrong with Bassline.

Yeah I liked the look of normal BassLine alot. (And the sound)
I guess I'll see what people make of phoscyon (That sounded good too).
Thanks mouthster.

for the price of a monomachine you could also buy a tb303. i had the monomachine and it was cool but i absolutely dont liked the sound of it, very plastic. i would buy a 303

two absolutely different machines....If an individual wants a monomachine, a box full of 303's will not satisfy...and vice versa.

also, 303's are selling for crazy amounts of cash these days....I seen one go for 1,200+ Sterling pounds on ebay - that works out to about 1,850 euro. thats crazy, you could buy a FR-revolution and have a big chunk to go towards a monomachine left over...
