use rendered audio instead of instruments when performing?

should i render all the music i make, so that when i perform live i use audio and not the instruments, so that my laptop can work better?

If you're not manipulating the midi and/or instrumenst while playing I would definitely recommend making audio loops.
mbp 2.66, osx 10.6.8, 8GB ram.
