Is it possible to mixdown the wet and dry signals separately

Is this possible?

IE: Have some send effects setup, and bounce down the source and the send separately.

There are no record buttons on the send channels, so I'm not sure how else to do this, but surely it is possible??

just use the send post-fader (there is a little button on the right side), pull down the volume of the "dry"-track, record the master out (you can do that by choosing master out for the incoming signal of a new track),
that should work...

could you elaborate? pulling down the volume of the dry track reduces it's signal at the send track.

how i've got it setup:

dry track -> 100% sent to Send 1
Send 1 set to 'post'

Setting Send 1 to 'pre' results in dry signal only.

Hold up, theres a much easier way!!

No need to change your send from post to pre or anything like that. Just set the output setting of each channel to "sends only" in the input/output slot for each channel. This way you will route only the send channels (i.e. your effects) to the master output where you can render to disk. This way you dont f***up any fader levels or do anything destructive.

Often, after building an arrangement in Live, I finish the final mix in Logic Audio. I render each Live track separately (all starting at bar 1) and then render each FX return separately. I make sure I don't touch any levels during this process so that the mix opens exactly the same when the files are dragged into Logic.

I can't recommend highly enough printing your FX returns and having them as another element to compose with on your arrange page. cut/paste, repeat, automate the volume levels etc. (My band makes dubbed-out electronica and for us the FX are an integral part of the writing/arrangement)
