Hi there,
just wandering if someone can help me to understand how to use the Korg Padkontrol in Ableton.
I used it before with Tracktion and Reason, but I found out that Ableton is so much more made for me to produce music.
Problem now is that I can't find out how to let the Padkontrol get in contact with Ableton. I just can't get any noise out of the Padkontrol, nor can I link sound to the pads.
I just don't get it, with other programs it works, so maybe I'm missing sometjing here.
All help is really welcome here
Thanks in advance
Brgds

Korg PadKontrol setup with Ableton
I have my padKONTROL working perfectly with Live and Impulse. Impulse's samples are automaticly mapped to certain notes so if you have a MIDI keyboard you can trigger the Impulse samples with it automaticly. You cannot change which notes are needed to trigger the Impulse within Live however you can change the pads on the padKONTROL to send the notes needed to trigger the Impulse. I did this by finding which keys on my keyboard were triggering the Impulse (sorry I can't remember them). Then I activated MIDI map mode in Live, touched each key on the keyboard and it displays in Live (at bottom left corner in 5.2) which note that is. Then I programmed a scene in the padKONTROL with all the pads assigned to each note needed... Works great! Be sure to save your scene!!
