That's pretty darn fast. I take days, even weeks to finish a track.
But I hear all the time how some people finish tracks in a day or half a day or whatever. Ferry Corsten finished "Out of the blue" track in a day, and it became a classic. Interesting
Also, I noticed, sooner I finish the track better it turns out to be. I'm really critical to my music, so maybe that's why.

Average for me is 3 weeks. Some tunes get done fast in a week, others take a year or more.

Re: how long you work on a track?
It can take me that long just to get a few percussion sounds and textures right. I aim to finish a track in five days, although it can take longer.gleiter wrote:i work between 2 and 6 hours and then there finishd...

It takes me around 3-5 days as well to get the right sounds and to get a good arrangement. If a vocalist is involved it can take around a fortnight to try and get the right pitch or tempo or to even get that person out of bed...The lazy asses. I think i may start singing myself. heehee
