Problem with Live 6 and Reason 3.0 Rewire Sync

Post by MattyB » Fri Oct 13, 2006 5:03 pm

VERSION:

live 6.0.1
Reason 3.0.4

PROBLEMS:

When I loop a section of audio it plays fine for about 4 or 5 cycles, then Reason freezes and doesn't play any audio until the loop returns in live to the beginning of the loop. At that point it continues fine for few measures then freezes again. This continues indefinitly.

Also, occasionally when the marker returns to the beginning of the loop the first note in reason is extremely loud. I had this same issue with Live 5.2 so I am beginning to think this is a Reason/Rewire issue.

QUESTIONS:

1. Is anyone else having these issues?

2. Does anyone have any fix ideas for me to try?

have you tried updating to rewire 1.7? (it f***ed up my computer, so uh,,, beware??)

could you copy/paste/duplicate things instead of using the looping function?

any better using the Live sequencer vs. the Reason sequencer? (I'd expect some timing problems if using Live to sequence the reason instruments, due to delay compensation problems (Maybe?))

just trying to give you some ideas, good luck

I have upgraded to the latest version of rewire. I played lastnight for about 5 hours with no issues at all, it was perfect. NO POP at the beginning of the loop and NO FREEZING at the end. I think I am in business.

Thanks,
