if you set the preferences to "unwarped one shot" and set "auto warp llong samples" to "off" then when you record a sample it is still automatically warped
someone in the thread said they got this behaviour in Live 5 too - although I did quite a bit of that kind of recording in Live 5 and dont recall noticing the problem - but I havent got time to check it now
