here are my wishes
1. when "render to disk window" pops up "ok" should be selected by default so the user can just hit enter to start the render.
2. add a wave hight zoom to the audio clip waveform view.
3. record quantization should offer the same features as quantizing after recording, I would also like to see 64th's included
in the quantize options. Have 64ths become obsolete?
4. Window placement memory for VSTs
5. Show multiple paramiters at one time in the arangement window.
{EDIT} oct 18
6. PLEASE make an option to add another 8 controllers to each macro.
7. PLEASE somehow copy the way mackie control works when it comes to being able to "scroll" through banks of 8 channels so we are not limited to just 8 automaped channels.

I am a drummer, I just picked up a set of VDrums. I want to play a roll not 1/32. In the olden days people used 64ths for jungle beats, they most likley still do. Also take a listen to Aphex Twin and others that are cranking out crazy hard ass beats. They use 1/64 all the time. Also they can be used to add grove. It is small enough at some tempos to add "flavor" or "feeling" to otherwise stiff beats. If I am not mistaken logic went to 1/128 but I could be wrong. You can get the same sound different ways but since I have VDrums I want to be able to play them.gustavo bravetti wrote:In which scenarios do you use 1/64 quantization?

yes, more quantization options
yes, if we must qauntize, why not have 128th triplets? I am dead serious that I would probably end up using them ... that's my vote.

Totally agree with the quantize increment thing.
I would also add that it would be cool to change loop amounts to much smaller increments in clips and arrange view as well.
Render should be set to OK as an option and not default. I have had times where I needed change a render setting and have already clicked OK so it was too late. No biggy unless it's a whole set or large file.

No 4 Window Placement Memory Another +1
I had been asking about this during beta and tried to explain it in feature wishlist here http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=43434
I think its a good idea anyway. (Works in Cubase and I like)

I see the plus side of not having a zoom on the waveform display as this:
There is currently an actual reliable visual representation of the volume of the clip which can be seen in that display. When you adjust the clip gain, the waveform grows in height accordingly.
If you were to have different clips sitting around with different zoom settings, you'd lose some ability to judge a clip's level because you'd have to take the zoom settings into consideration.
There are other things which would seem weird to me about this, which have to do with where the zooming would be happening: in the clip view, in the arrange view, etc.
I think the best way to get a better look at the waveform is to expand the clip view window or the arrangement track.
