OT: If you could change one thing in your past....

Post by jb61264 » Thu Oct 19, 2006 2:59 am

what would it be?

I would have pursued music as a career at a very young age instead of waiting until later in life...better late than never I guess.

I would have moved the hell away from here immediately after graduating from college!

Not to get heavy or anything, but at about 20 I was maliciously bagging on this girl to my coworkers who was obviously borderline retarded that I used to work with as bike messenger in SF, basically I was saying she was stupid, and being an egocentric asshole. She walked right in the room while I said it, I turned around and I knew she heard it all. There was nothing I could say to make that up. My attempts to apologize were hollow, even to me. I'm pretty sure she was a little retarded, but she wasn't a bad person, I was just a stupid kid.
I hate people like that, and never thought I would do that to somebody, but I did.

Not having the guts to end my marriage properly and having an affair, I lost everything because of that, and caused untold hurt and pain.

I will never do anything like that again.

I'd do the "grandfather" paradox and make sure I was never born.......

However since that is a farse, I'd go back when I was 5 and change everything.....

Same as OP. I would have ignored my parents advice and pursued music. I don't have a chance of getting a job in music now, as someone my age that had been doing it since school would have 15 years of experience.

BUT after reading how much studio engineers in the UK get paid (it seems most of them don't) at least I have enough money to go on holiday and live well, and can afford to actually buy musical instruments. So perhaps the decision wasn't so bad. :?

Too many variables to consider by changing anything so I wouldn't.

No regrets.
