Can't reopen a project I created in 6.0.1.

The reason the .als can't be loaded? "The file was apparently created by a newer version of Live that's not compatible with this version."

Newer than 6.0.1? Is there something I should know??

Anyone?

OK, I've been able to reproduce it.
Seems that every project I started or changed (and saved) in 6.0.1 cannot be loaded again. It's a shame.
Plug-Ins don't matter. I've even tried to save and reload a default template (one empty audio track, one empty midi track, no effects or plugins) -> same result, can't be loaded.

Another thing: "collect everything and save" doesn't work either: "xxxx.wav cannot be copied."

This is getting weirder: Apparently it's got to do with the partition of my harddisk I saved the projects to. Maybe too little space (only 300 mb left), although even empty projects don't work on this partition.

So, saving to other partitions (that have more space left) works, the projects can be loaded (and the samples can be collected and saved with it).

Only trouble now: Even if I move projects from the (no longer working) partition to another, they won't open. Looks like I've lost them, and I don't even know why (Live never said anything about too little space and saved fine (apart from not collecting the samples)).

a) Try "Repair Permissions" from the Hard Disk Utility application.
b) Check if any of the folders (the whole tree up to the partition) that the .als files reside in are write protected.
c) Check if any of the folders (the whole tree up to the partition) starts with a space in the name.

Zerobae I get the same error on XPSP2, Athlon X2 4200, 2 GB RAM. Live 6.0.1.

Installed on local disk, 140GB free. Plug-in dir is RAID array 300GB free.

It's not a RAM or space issue for me.

Trying Dr. Wacklers suggestions for read-only flags when I get home.

Tried all the usual fixes, nuked prefs.cfg, re-installed, made all ableton files NOT read only, and no joy.

Email sent to support. Bummer.
