microKontrol + Live 6 Controler Surface Issue
microKontrol + Live 6 Controler Surface Issue
Hi,
I'll have problems with controller surfce for microKontrol -
I selected the mK on the midi-preferences of L6, IN/OUT Port 2( or B).
I receive Midi-Notes, I can sync, so L6 follows the tempo from mK, but get no results on faders or knops.
Any ideas?
thanx
Harald

Well, i did a search on the forums before, read through all the posts, loaded the mk-template, fooled around in the MK librarian to change ports - no result at all.
And as mentioned - what makes me wonder - I would understand, if no midi at all gets through to L6, but notes AND sync passes...

ok... here's the definitive how too...
step 1. reset your microkontrol to 'DEFAULT'.... or download my template called MKlivecontrolsurface.zip at the bottom of this page...
http://www.winterparkmusic.com/files/download.php
and open up the First Scene.... if you reset the MK, it will be called "Cubase", if you Downloaded my template it'll be called "Live"... (the only difference apart from the naming is that i've also set the bottom 8 pads to the notes for the Impulse Kit.)
step 2. in live's preferences, you want the following settings....
Control Surface = microKONTROL
Input = microKONTROL (Port 3)
Output = microKONTROL (Port 2)
Take-Over Mode = Value Scaling (well... that's what i have, but you can choose what works for you.)
Midi Port Input (Port 3) set to *track*=Off *Sync*=Off *Remote*=On
Midi Port Output (Port 2) set to *track*=Off *Sync*=Off *Remote*=On
and if that doesn't work, you got something wrong with your MK.
goodluck

i too have an mK.
my problem is i can get everyithing to assign one by one but can't get the mapping templates to work from the librarian.
i have tried loading the presets and transferring with no luck
big thing is i can't get the keyboard to work. i can only assign the pads, knobs and sliders.
anyone got any ideas what i am doing wrong here?
i have an m-audio transit and it shows
midi in
port a
port b
i am set on asio drivers.
could someone help me with a walk thru or point me to one.
eventually i would like to rewire FL studio 6 with ableton as my main host.
any kind of help would be greatly appreciated.
i might have to be shown how to load something in operator to get it all working like the video presentation on the site.
