Just noticed one thing - the 15" hasn't got a 7200 hard drive option. Didn't the first gen MBP have this option? Unless I'm missing a point, this seems like a backward step and really stupid of Apple.

Get in!

See it was right to wait for the Pro espeically.

Now, i'm still waiting for this to happen on the lower Macbook 13" model, but considering the Pro was first launched on April 24 2006 and the 13" model on the 16 May, i'm hoping such an update will be a month away at tops.

I'm not suprised they updated Pro first, since it is their flagship portable.

I'm surprised to see it still has the little click locks for closing the lid. I would have thought they would do the magnetic thing like on the macbooks.

Do the macbook pros have right-click on the two-finger trackpad tap like macbooks?

I think the case will get redesigned when the Santa Rosa chipset comes out (we're on Napa at the moment I think). Around June is my guess.

That expresscard is the only thing holding it back. The 15" really needs the faster hard drive too. If I were looking for a new lappy I'd be patient and sit it out another generation. Thank goodness the FW800 is back!

For myself, I'll be sitting it out for quite some time to come. I'm in broke-bastard mode.

No such animal. The 160 is 5400, the 200 is 4200. The biggest 7200 made is 100GB.
