Ha!, a Serato Scratch Live "AU" would be CRAZY in Live. I think that would be the definiative right there.

I'm using Traktor with final scratch and LIVE on my G4 1.25.
Audio for LIVE: mBox via firewire to final scratch audio interface. Clean and quite fun. I'm not syncing, I'm playing soft synths through LIVE with the Traktor LP's. Also using two 1200's and two Technics CD players. A novation Bassstation, Korg Controller and NORD 1.
Woo! what a ride.

Okay.
I want to be able to scratch digital files (such as lines from films) using Serato - and scratch over the top of my liveset. So I'd like to be able to have a track in Live set to record throughout the liveset, so that when I scratch with Serato - it all gets captured and recorded in Live.
I would probably have all my scratches saved as one file, so that I could leave Serato alone and just concentrate on the liveset.
What is your setup? What kind of specs are needed to run Serato and Live at the same time.
Do you suffer from clicks/pops/glitches?

I tweaked my laptop by maxing out the RAM and trading the 5400 HD with a 7200. (makes a big difference in audio) I run in thousands instead of millions of colours.
You need the Final Scratch record and audio card and you need the special final scratch "scratching" records according to Stanton, but I can scratch with the standard records they ship with.
Audio for Live is handled by the firewire Maudio - Audiophile, (I got crackles using apple's core audio).
I can run effects, play 2 tracks and play synths as heavy as Ultrafocus in LIVE.
In addition, do to Statnton's interface, you can play CD's with final scratch, (just not at the same time as Stanton Records, but you can play regular vinyl and Stanton records at the same time.
I've heard Serrato is just as reliable as Traktor and they both have similar interfaces.
Hope this helps.
