Post by Twisted Textures » Thu Oct 26, 2006 9:05 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know of a free or cheap Universal Binary compressor with side chain that I can download?

Cheers,

Check this one out:

It´s the only free one (for the moment as it´s alpha) I know.

We are currently developing such a plugin; it will be freeware, and is available as a UB. Please keep in mind that this plugin is still in alpha testing, and may some bugs still.

Thanks guys.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to do what it's supposed to do at the minute. We'll have to just wait for the Intel UB full release to come out.

I heard there's one by Wave Arts called TrackPlug which does the job. I'll try a demo of it tonight, if it works I may have to get the Visa card out.

Cheers,

ive gotten it to work, you just have to have a duplicate kick drum (or whatever track is "punching through" the "ducked" track). im guessing once you set it up, you were only getting sound from the track that was being "ducked"? so, you just have to duplicate the other track to a new channel, set it to output through the mains and you're good.

still a bit more noisy than i'd like, and no AU yet, but looks promising.
