Silverspike has released
TapeIt 2, the next generation audio grabber VST plugin.
TapeIt 2 writes the passing audio stream directly to disk into a wave file.
Key-features:
- Various WAV formats: 8, 16 and 24 integer, 32 bit float. Mono and stereo.
- Synchronized recordings (by locators, measures, midi or playback-state)
- Time stamped files (broadcast wave files)
- Automatic normalizing (no need to set recording level)
- List of recorded files
- Integrated dithering
- Waveform display
- ...
You can use it to:
- Export accurate realtime mix-downs.
- Listen in while exporting.
- Record your sessions while playing.
- Bounce a track.
- Bounce all your tracks at once to different wave files.
- Record dry and wet effect signals.
- Monitor any specific point in the signal chain.
An evaluation version is available.

This should allow us to record whatever is in a send channel.
Very useful - do tedious manipulations once while playing, record it, and then loop it on the fly.
