Seriously...read up on this thing, they've won awards from medical institutions for it - its not *just* for vaporized weed....you can vaporize lots of stuff for the flavour or for medicinal purposes - inhaling is an instant way of ingesting something....and thanks to this device they've made it as safe an enterprise as its going to get in this day & age.

So I hear, however, don't you also get plastic fumes mixed in as well (which couldn't be good)? The only reason I am asking is that on the odd occassion I have thought about getting high (though maybe I should not go down that route anymore due to my very healthy lifestyle these days), but I am so anti-smoking that I am not prepared to smoke and hate anyone around me smoking (I am the world's worst reformed smoker)!!! But someone told me that those Volcano thingies don't actually produce smoke, but a vapour. Yet I can't imagine that something that gets so hot wouldn't affect the plastic bag that the Volcano uses, therefore you also inhale the toxins that plastic produce. True or false?

No, I am not taking the piss. It is a serious question. Thank you for telling me a bit more about it. I have heard of them and as I said on the odd occassion I have thought it might be interesting to get stoned again from time to time, but I really hate smoke these days!!! I haven't smoked for years. About a year ago I had a puff on a joint, but coughed my guts out just like when I first tried my first ever cigarette (I guess my lungs are back to a virgin state). I didn't enjoy that feeling, even though I used to enjoy getting high, but I am not prepared to sacrifice the health of my lungs to do it. But bOunce, seeing you have one, is a non-smoker likely to cough their guts out?

I worked in the catering feild for 10 years. I never saw one melt.

No plastic just pure plant essence.

You have full temp' control. The lower temperatures will not make a non-smoker cough, and the bonus is the flavours are richer at the lower temps. The higher temps release more of the THC as well as being hotter, so that will take a little getting used to for the novice.

but the volcano has the best temp control of all the high-end vaporizers I've tried, theres plenty of range in the 'easy to toke for a non-smoker' category. And you will notice the differences as you nodge the heat up a little bit at a time.

Most other vaporizers are essentially OFF & ON......so you either like the experience or you dont....no tweaking it to suit your tastes.

they set the burn temperature to vaporise the active ingredients, just enough to activate THC, as opposed to taking a flame to the plant and burning everything. it's a weird sensation, so smooth it's deceptive. definitely the healthiest way to smoke anything.

or you could make some pot butter and put some on your toast in the morning.

the taste thing is almost a turn off for me - just because I had alot of experiences with eating various different concoctions and making myself violently ill so now the taste reminds me of that.....kind of like certain spirits you might have skulled at 13
