Imported midi files but no drum sounds

I imported a midi file, midi file is split over different track which is great, but.. I don't hear any sound when I play the midi file.

I hoped to get at least the drum sounds so I can jam along with my guitar.

I guess I need to map instruments to the tracks or something but I don't know how.

So if anyone on this forum can help me that would be great

what version of live are you using?

midi doesnt make or have sounds of its own.

drag an impulse preset into the midi track(s), it may take a minute to get the snare/kick etc on the correct tracks especially if they are not labeled..

and RTFM, this is really a drag and drop operation...
