the earth pic you made there is awful though.. horrible.. wheres the taste ?

todays art is wack
i mean.... conceptional bullshit it is
ive been to art school my entire life and when i saw what todays artists were doing i gave up.. its a joke. most of them cant even draw a nice real looking picture of themselfs.. its a pitty and im ashamed ive been to art school
Sorry you didn't like my try at the splash screen; not having been to art school of course I am a mere poseur. You ought to take a try at it; with your taste and ability I would be interested in seeing what you come up with.

r.
unfortunatly I dont have the money to buy Photoshop, Illustrator and all that jazz... but if i would make one, i would keep it very simple. the current black box with the live logo in the middle
im wondering though what has the earth got to do with Live?

Gimp is brilliant, so's Inkscape if you want a vector package. Inkscape is what I used to do those other splashes actually, I like it better than illustrator in a lot of ways.

i just got a great idea

if myself or someone else gets the chance..

could write a script which launches in a batch file when trying to launch live.

this would render out a new splash everytime with one of the oblique strategies written on there!

What about a script for .swf support(flash) to make a more animated splash screen?
