This is a fresh install of 6.0 then an install of 6.0.1, then I installed or tried to install the EIC packs. When installing the instruments, after they install Ableton says a problem has occurred, must shutdown... (I get the regular windows crash errors as well)
This happened with every instrument, and all samples are missing, not even the folders we're created. If it of any information my libraries are installed on a separate drive.
I'm sorry if this is a repeat thread, I searched hard.

Well it seems the way the actual CD case tells you to install them doesn't work.
By using FILE > Install Live Pack, it does work.

The best way I've found to install packs is just by double clicking on them in Windows Explorer.

Oh is it? Well then by all means do not use the method which I've found to work well, if your thread is about not working that way.
Good luck

By the way, for future reference:
Each version of Live is completely independent of every other, i.e. there is no need to install 6.0 if you are then going to install 6.0.1.
