anyone get soundflower to work?

Post by dirtystudios » Tue Mar 30, 2004 12:43 am

i've been trying to get soundflower to work piping some of those vsti hosts into live (ugly vsti interface, vsti shell, rax, ect.) and i can't get it to sound decent. i get artifacts, breakups and dropouts with any of those hosts, running one instance of any old pluggo plug-in into live via the soundflower 2-channel option. i've set all my buffers as high as they can go (which of course renders them unplayable) and i still get breakups, even with no fx in live. i'll give it that it sounds pretty neat sometimes when breaking up, and i'll no doubt record some of it, but i'd like to get clean audio into live as well. i'm on a ibook g3 900 with 384 megs of ram. this should be enough to do this, right?

anyone with similar specs having success?

k
