Hi Vasilis,
the idea to mix the songs together is good,
but the guitar sample wich comes in at about 47" is not at my taste,
it sounds not harmonical to the rest, perhaps try to pitch it a bit up or down to a different key.
You also could try to bring the sample in at a different pos relative to the bitter sweet song, or an other bit of the RHCP guitar.

Your other stuff sounds better, more harmonically put together.

Greetings

The first chord of the guitar sample mentioned above fits, but the second one doesn't - its out of tune. You could loop the first chord and it would fit OK.
Some drum variation would be helpful too.

awesome job. I love the track in the first place and you did a really good job of keeping the original feel. Well done.

What was your goal with this remix???
Just for the fun of doing it? Then your remix is not bad.
If you wanted to create a dance/party remix, well I think you miss your goal...

Do you know a lot about copyright? I'm still wondering if I should make some of my remix public due to legal issue...

Nice Mix

Post by CassetteMusic » Thu Nov 09, 2006 2:53 pm

Cool mix dude, enjoyed listening to it!

I would try and add a little dynamic interest over the course of the track; drums builds, chopping up the tracks more, etc.

Just a quick note about copyright too - you are actually not ok legally to be posting the mix (esp with download), as it does count as copyright infringement.

For example, if you check my MySpace site for my band Cassette, you'll see that there's a remix of A Little Respect on there; we paid £50 for the right to be able to sell it and perform it, and the MCPS were quite adamant that unlicensed performances are an infringement (for obvious reasons).

Still, I wouldn't let this worry you unduly, it's unlikely you'll have any bother from anyone at this level.
